UNESCO City of Design Dundee Photo Walks

UNESCO City of Design Dundee Photo Walks

Monthly from 7 April - 6 October 2024

Here you can see a selection of images created by UNESCO City of Design Dundee's Photo Walk participants. Each photo walk is lead and supported by local photographers, Ben Douglas and Pete McConville and takes place in a different location across Dundee.

Inspired by the exhibition Photo City: How Images Shape the Urban World at V&A Dundee until 27 October 2024, each Photo Walk explores how we might capture the city's architecture, people and character through the lens of photography. Iconic landmarks, High streets, residential areas and the communities that inhabit them feature in these images taken by those who live in and visit Dundee.

The photographs created during this project provide a record of the city in 2024 and the subsequent publication will mark and celebrate Dundee's tenth year as the UK's only UNESCO City of Design. This activity is supported by Dundee City Council. These Photo Walks have been open to everyone, and the final walk will take place on Sunday6 October.

The photographs on display were captured by:Andi Brogan, Ben Douglas, Carol McCaig, Caroline Tosin, Douglas McCann, E. Cliffe, lan Scrimgeour, J. Parry, Liz Allen, Rachel Mallinson, Siobàn Sharkey, Sue Powrie and Susan Hill.
